President George W. Bush unexpectedly flew to Iraq Sunday (2008-12-14), his fourth visit, to pay a farewell visit and discuss a recently signed security agreement. Hours later, during a news conference in Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki’s office in Baghdad, a reporter of Baghdadiya television threw two shoes, one by one, at Bush (video below).
The man who threw the shoes shouted an Arabic phrase, which reportedly translated as, “This is a farewell kiss, dog.” In the Arab world, one of the strongest insults is sticking the sole of your dirty shoe in somebody’s face.
Bush ducked both attempts and quipped, “All I can report is it is a size 10.”
After the brief chaos in the hall, inside Baghdad’s heavily-fortified Green Zone, the news conference resumed.

If Bush deserves a shoe being thrown at him what do we say about Obama knowing all the corruption that is following in his trail? Oh never mind the media has a nationwide cover-up going on to make sure President Elect Obama looks like a saint.

What Mike completely fails to understand is that the shoes were thrown at President Bush as a symbol of the United States. These shoes were thrown not just at Bush, but at every American, and most egregiously, at every American soldier that has sacrificed dearly.
