Today (2008-10-13), some friends and I eagerly attended a John McCain rally in Wilmington, NC. With over 2500 in attendance, it was well worth the long wait in line. He and Cindy were inspiring.
GeekGirl2u actually arrived a few hours before me; she was sixth in line … and graciously held a place for me. Much to our surprise, we got to meet some famous YouTubers (you know who you are … it great to meet you).
Throughout the morning I was enthusiastically regaling others with Obama’s public confession of socialism in a news clip on Fox and Friends. “That’s right … he admitted it … redistribution of wealth. No doubt, this story will get a lot more coverage as election day draws near.” Hopefully, McCain will run with this one.
On 2008-10-12, while traveling through Ohio, Obama encountered a taxpaying plumber, Joe Wurzelbacher, who asked a simple question.
“Your new tax plan is going to tax me more, isn’t it?” the plumber asked, complaining that he was being taxed “more and more for fulfilling the American dream.”
“It’s not that I want to punish your success. I just want to make sure that everybody who is behind you, that they’ve got a chance for success too,” Obama responded. “My attitude is that if the economy’s good for folks from the bottom up, it’s gonna be good for everybody … I think when you spread the wealth around, it’s good for everybody.”
Obama proposes that you can make people successful by giving them stuff. It’s the same theory that led Democrats to give people houses with no documents, no jobs, no down payments, and no hope for repayment. Hmmmm. How did that one work out for us? But, that’s okay because the taxpayers can bail them out.
The fact of the matter is that socialist economic systems don’t work because rewarding low achievers doesn’t encourage them. It does exactly the opposite. Moreover, it stifles growth because those who would otherwise be achievers have less and less incentive for financial goals.
Socialism is a collectivist political ideology in which the government holds all economic assets (we’ve started down this path without Obama). The transition (usually violent) involves the expropriation of all private wealth. Wealth is redistributed through exorbitant taxes and uber-liberal social policy (Obama BOASTS that this is his objective).
It is the middle and lower classes that suffer the most under socialism because it is difficult to improve one’s individual economic status in a system that discourages private persons from accummulating income and assets.
If you seriously listen to Obama’s WORDS, you quickly discern that his goal is to fast-track the socialist take-over of our capitalistic democratic republic.
